Two people died in head-on crash shortly after 2 a.m. May 5 when the driver of a northbound 1992 Lincoln Towncar traveled into the southbound lanes and struck a 1992 Honda Passport. The Towncar’s driver, Evelena Adams, 34, and her passenger, Demarko Howard, 35, died at the scene of the crash on Houston Lake Road at Wrasling Way, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
Alcohol was considered a factor in the Towncar traveling the wrong way, authorities said.
The driver of the other vehicle, Samantha Marie Scroggins [51714], 26, suffered serious injuries but survived. She had to be extricated from her vehicle and rushed to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
