A 6-year-old has a very special request for her birthday this year. Rather than receiving gifts this year she's asking her friends to donate stuffed animals that then will be given to sick kiddos at OU Medical Center. Ryan Scroggin knows the power of a stuffed animal. “It was like she wasn't scared all [of a] sudden because she got a stuffed animal,” said Keke Dunn, Ryan’s mother. Since birth, Ryan has been in and out of the hospital undergoing numerous surgeries. Ryan was born with a rare bone and joint disorder called arthrogryposis. “She is missing joints at place[s] where she is supposed to have them, like her knees do not bend,” said Dunn. But despite these challenges, this little girl has one big birthday wish. “I want to go to children's hospital and donate stuffed animals,” said Ryan. An idea Ryan and her sister came up with during one of her stays at the hospital. At her grandmother's shop in Norman she's set out a box for people to drop stuffed animals and a monkey jar to collect money. ...
