Deontay Wilder book seeks to inspire kids

Nine-year-old Emily Scroggins [44245] said following Wilder's career has inspired her to reach her goal of becoming an engineer. “(The book) has taught me to work hard, and if you do that you will get your dreams," Emily said. "I will use this book in my future. I think it will help me be a better person."

Loren P. Jacobs, Jr., 66, of Indianapolis, passed away June 26, 2015. The son of Loren P. Sr. and Nina P. Smith Jacobs, Loren was born October 31, 1948 in Batesville.... Loren is survived by his children, Loren "Skip" Scroggins [49484:D], Christine Marine, Daffney Rowlett [38345:D, fb] and Nina Jacobs; siblings, Oliver Lockwood, Terry, Robert and Steven Jacobs, Betty Jean.Reynolds, Paula Kerschner and Nancy Hughes; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
