Family awaits news of daughter's safety in Nepal

An Auckland family is anxiously waiting to hear if their daughter in Nepal is safe. 21 year old nanny Alicia Scroggins [51967, fb] is on a trek with a friend, northwest of Kathmandu.  Her father, Bob Scroggins [53865], heard from her last Monday, to say she was starting the trek.

Bob Scroggins [53865] and mother Lisa Scroggins [51968, fb].  Scroggins is a native of New Zealand.  Pastor Bob Scroggins was a missionary in New Zealand for 20 years before returning to Springfield where he pastored at Wayside until returning to New Zealand to join his ailing wife in 2012.  Scroggins graduated from Thurston High school in 2011 and attended George Fox University majoring in International Studies. Scroggins currently lives in Auckland New Zealand.  Scroggins had recently completed mission work in Germany and Greece.  She joined Amber Brazil in Thailand before the pair travelled to Nepal.  Scroggins is the youngest of five with three sister and one brother.
