As the old saying goes, “It’s hard to say goodbye.” And that proved to be the case Tuesday, when the Simi Valley Unified School District Board of Education voted 3-2 to relieve longtime Superintendent Kathryn Scroggin [39720:K] of her duties and replace her, in the interim, with Assistant Superintendent Jason Peplinski.
