Ashlea Scroggins [52917, fb], 26, is now in jail, charged with the attempted murder of her boyfriend, Jeffrey Spear who was shot multiple times with a .22 rifle. Scroggins' father spoke to us off-camera, and said his daughter came to his house to escape her boyfriend, who he described as "abusive." He also said his daughter acted in self-defense. (Note: Report fails to tell us whether there was any kind of protective order or history of police reports of abuse involved in this case).
